  • til hamingju með afmælið → til hammó með ammó (happy birthday)
    • Extremely informal, said as a joke.
  • afbrýðisamur → abbó (jealous)
    • Highly informal, somewhat common among younger speakers.
  • sumarbústaður → sumó (a summer house)
